Wheelock Volunteer Fire Department IBCA Cook Off

Just posting to see whom all might be entering the Wheelock VFD BBQ Cook off April 30th and May 1st in Wheelock Texas.  This is their first attempt at an IBCA Cook Off as a fundraiser.  The cook off information and entry form is on their web site at: www.wheelockvfd.org.  Since this is their first cook off they are sticking with the three main categories.  If anyone has interest in another category let them know and, if there is enough interest early enough they may go for it!  Hope to see ya'll there.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Wheelock VFD is taking team registrations up until 7:00pm Friday night, 4/30 (head cooks meeting). The entry form erroneously    indicated that the cut off was earlier. However, it is just fine to show up on Friday and enter.

Thank you to everyone that helped make the Wheelock Volunteer Fire Department's first Annual IBCA Cook off a GREAT success.  The teams were great and helped us through the first-year jitters.  The "barn-dance" Friday night was a hoot.  Everyone really seemed to enjoy it.      A big thanks to Cathy Demottier for showing us the ropes and running a very well-oiled operation.  Thanks also to Lynn Shivers for getting us started.  Both Lynn and Cathy put up with my novice questions with grace and professionalism.  They always answered every question and pointed me in the right direction.  Thanks again to everyone and we hope to see everyone - plus more   next year.
