Just a note to remind everyone of the Annual Saturday meeting for IBCA on July 31, 2010.
The meeting will be from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.   There will be raffle items plus free entries to several
cook-offs.

VFW will be serving hamburgers for lunch for a minimal charge.

IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE PRESENTED TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO CONSIDER IN RULE CHANGES - THEY SHOULD BE MAIL (SNAIL OR EMAIL) TO THE OFFICE PRIOR TO THE MEETING

Hope to see all of you there

If anyone has any questions about the Annual Meeting, this would be a great time to ask. You get to meet some of the best cooks in the state or at least place a face to the name, not to mention the burgers and beer/water. The more, the merrier. I drive 5 1/2 hours to get to the meeting and the same to get back home. If you are traveling from the RGV send me an e-mail and maybe we can carpool. If we leave early enough, we can hit a few Q joints on the way.

if any of the changes pertain to the rules - they need to be submitted to the office before July 1st so that we can get it out to all of the PITS to review and possibly get some feedback from their members.

$1 each or 6 for $5.00 -

couple of yrs ago someone bought $100 worth of raffle tickets and won 9 free entries - needless to say they got the money's worth.

at this time I have over 30 free entries into cook-offs - several from LA, 2 from KS, 1 AR and a bunch from Texas all over the state.

36 free entries - so hope everyone will show up and take advantage of the raffle -- don't want just a few to win them all. Grin

Lynn,

Is it OK to bring the wife and kids with me?  Our plans to vacation in Gulf Shores at the end of the month have been cancelled, so we were thinking about making a trip over there.  We love San Antonio, so we might spend a couple of days there and a couple of days in Austin.

I promise the kids will behave. I have no control over Alesha tho. LOL

that will be fine - and of course there are shopping places near by if she doesn't want to sit in the meeting -

I have 40 free entries that will be raffled off and they are still coming in.

Hope to see you there
