This cookoff is at a new site - not far from the previous one - with a lot more room! There are some pictures of the new site in the latest LA Pit newsletter - that's online at http://www.labbq.org/newsletter/LaPitNewsletterFive.pdf, and the promoter tells me that you can also see the site in the City of D'Iberville's Geoportal, available from their homepage.

(and if it wasn't mentioned elsewhere, they're planning on serving a meal (they think gumbo) after the cooks' meeting on Friday night for team members and their families)

Just heard from Barbie Cutrer of D'Iberville - 20 pro teams as of tonight, plus another 15 in their backyard division - looks good!

Now 28 teams in the IBCA contest, 19 backyard.  Y'all are giving me the silent treatment, but I know you're reading this! So come on out this weekend - the weather there is supposed to be great!
