Just heard from the organizer of this contest - as of today (5/24), they have 26 teams registered! I understand they are space-limited and have space for no more than about 30 teams - so if you haven't reserved your spot yet, do so ASAP!!

We are looking forward to this one again... In all my years of cooking I have never cooked in a prettier place. Historic old town Nachitoches is awesome... Time to stock up on meat pies and get my Momma's Oyster House fix going on!!!!!!!!

Been signed up for over a month .We have been cooking close to home during the month of may .The ULM cookoff and then the Southern Fried Festival this past weekend ,did steaks there won peoples choice .Got 3rd and peoples choice at ULM for ribs. Can't wait to get back to an organized event ,Lil John's BBQ is looking forward to doing our first cookoff in Natchitoches See yall there John

I can't speak for all of LA, but here in Lafayette all they're talking about in the news is how dry it is and how hot it is and it's going to be over the weekend - so DON'T FORGET YOUR FIRE EXTINGUISHERS - and make sure the inspection on them is current!!

It was great to see y'all again, but boy was it HOT at this one!! Congratulations to Reserve Grand Champion Danny Christian of Southern Exposure and Grand Champion Sean Hebert of Big Bear BBQ, and to all those that walked! And congrats to the winners of People's Choice and Kid's Que, too!
