Just a reminder that the Smokin' Oldies BBQ Cook-Off is being held in September this year.  The dates are Sept. 16th to move in and the cook-off is Sept. 17th.  We have already received 2 entry forms from new cooking teams which is great.  The entry form is on the events section of this website or you can visit our website to get it at www.westbatonrouge.net.  Hope to see everyone there again this year!!
Also we have been chosen for the LA Pit added money event.  Just an added incentive to attend this year!!
Thanks,
Kathy

This contest is up to 26 teams as of this morning! Don't forget about the LA Pit added money event at this contest - we'll be having the LA Pit meeting at 5pm at the same place as the cooks meeting (the cooks meeting is at 6:30)! All are welcome! We ask that you bring a sweet treat to share at the Pit meeting!

Congratulations to Reserve Grand Champion Tee Wayne Abshire of Tee Wayne's Cajun Cooking and Grand Champion Sean Hebert of Big Bear BBQ and to all that got a call!

The contest was great - perfect weather, good food, lots of fun! Thanks to all that attended for making the LA Pit's 2011 added money event a success!

I would like to thank everyone for attending the Smokin' Oldies BBQ Cook-Off.  Thank you to the LA Pit for choosing our contest for the added money this year!!!
Special thanks to all of those who donated BBQ to Dream Day Foundation (St. Jude's Children's Hosp.).  They raised close to $2,000 this year with your donations.
Hope to see all back next year, we enjoy having you here and sure do enjoy the BBQ!!
