What is the difference in a "Texas State Championship" versus any other cookoff? I am planning on attending the one in Cleveland TX. Just wondering >>>>>>>>>>

the only difference is that the requirements to advance to the American Royal or chance at the Jack Daniels ---

Cleveland will have to have 25 teams to be a qualifier for these events. If they didn't have the Texas State Championship proclamation
they would need 50 + teams for the GC to advance.

The top 3 places in each of the basic meat categories will receive an Invitation to the National BBQ Championship, Meridian, TX in Oct.
1st places and GC will be invited to the IBCA Invitational also in Oct.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
