Who's planning on making the Cow Town Speedway cook-off? The flyer mentions chili; does anyone have any info on the chili part of the cook-off such as entry fee or if the chili is a Friday or Saturday turn in? If work dosen't interfer Bar "G" and my son (1st Confederates) who has managed to beat me in the last 2 out of 3 cookoffs will be there.

My BAD; for some reason Nov Chill registered as chili when it was translated from my eyes to my brain. I guess that comes with middle age or maybe it's just chili wearther.

Talked to Jamie this morning and it looks like we will get real close to 50 if not over
Looks like a good one in the making - see everyone there.

This was a great event - with 50 teams participating - the weather couldn't have been any better. Plenty of room to grow - also had plenty of judges from the racing teams.
Congratulations to Jamie Geer and Bo Rawdon for a great event. Jamie tried to make sure that the cooks were taken care and because the turn-in was at the top of the hill at the Racetrack - had a shuttle for the cooks at turn-in time. Total payout was $10,000 for a first year event was great.
Congratulations to Mike McCallum, Big Mike's, Grand Champion and Steve Graham, Rated PG, Reserve.
and to all that got their names called.
Watch for the date of this event for next year.

I second what Lynn said; also thanks Lynn and Laura great job. We had a blast; the cook-off and races made for an exciting and fun close to the 2008 BBQ season for the Bar "G" crew.
