Just talked with Sean Hebert, said that 21 teams are signed up and comitted as of now. If you're thinking about it or on the fence, please send in your entry to ensure a state championship! He is also looking for any backyard teams that might be interested.
See ya there!

Hi Ron - hope they can make the 25 also - Charles works so hard to make sure that this is a qualifying event.
Good Luck.

GREAT contest - 38 IBCA teams w/4 events, 12 backyard cookers w/ 3 events, and a kid's BBQ w/ 9 teams and one event. Whew! Weather was pretty decent up until around noon - then the wind started coming from the north (instead of the south as it had been) at between 15-20 mph w/ gusts to 30 that make it feel like the judging tent was about to go airborne, and the temperature dropped to below 50 degrees! But all I heard about was the great time everyone was having!
Congrats to GC Darby Neaves of Naaman's Mustard Sauce (for the 2nd year in a row!) and Reserve GC John Zeigler of Pop's Blazin' Smokers!
Full IBCA results coming(probably by tomorrow)...sorry, but I didn't write down the backyard or kids' results, I think Sean has those...
