Be sure to check out the Bastrop Homecoming Benefit Cookoff March 28th. It is their first and they need support. Any of you who cooked in Cookoff on the Colorado know that the Mayfest Park behind the American Legion is a great venue. Hope to see you.

We are stuggling with this one, I want to do it, but we have the BBQ For The Troops event at Ft. Hood on Thurs & Fri.  Just don't think I can pull it off.  Maybe next year....

Hey Chris, the last I saw was the Ft Hood cook was changed to arrive on the 25th and serve on the 26th. That means ya can get home, shower reload and make the Bastrop cookoff on Friday the 27th! That's what I'm thining of doing since the K of C Irving cookoff is that weekend. I'm hoping I can do both.

Man, Im glad you said that because I was under the impression that it was 26 & 27th, and thats how I had it scheduled.  I have a message into Billy to figure it out.  If it is 25 & 26th, I will try to do the cookoff as well.

Yeah, it's gone back and forth, but the last date I had was the Wednesday/Thursday dates.
