But right now, my fingers are crossed - I got called up for jury duty starting April 6 - this is for the Feds - those courts are closed for Good Friday, aren't they? (I hope, I hope...)

Well, I wasn't selected for the jury - and the judge said there were 61 witnesses that the government planned to call during the case, and if selected, we'd be there until at least next week! So now I'm back at work (only case this week) and trying to get ready for the contest! The forecast says partly cloudy on Friday, scattered storms on Saturday - so I guess we see what happens!

19 teams participated in this first time event - LA State Championship - This was a great event and Debbie Harville and her husband did a great job on making sure that all of the cooks were happy with the electricity and water hook ups. ...and some rocket scientist got lucky and finished 3rd in chicken.... It was a good contest all around. I sure hope they have this contest next year!
