We will be holding the Annual Saturday Meeting on August 1, 2009 at the VFW 8787, Austin, TX. We have found this to be a centrally located area for all and the facilities are nice.
The post will be serving hamburgers for lunch again this year.
There is not a cook-off on that week-end, so I hope that we will see everyone there.
If you have any suggestions for the meeting, feel free to let Jeff or I know.
I will be contacting Promoters to get free entries again this year. It worked out well last year.

What time will the actual meeting be. I live close enough that I will not be staying over the night before but I don't want to miss anything important. Also, do you have directions to the VFW post or do I need to google them?  Thanks, FL |

The meeting will start at 10 a.m. - til.
VFW 8787 is located at 500 VFW Rd., Austin, TXX
traveling south on I-35 you take the Braker Lane exit and cross back over 35 and stay on the service road to the bottom of the hill and turn right onto VFW Rd.
Looking forward to meeting a bunch of new members - Come out and Support YOUR Organization.

Craig Sharry, Texas Pepper Jelly, is going to be a guest speaker at the meeting this year.
If any of you would like to place an order, Craig stated that he would deliver to the meeting = call Craig to place your order.

we are accumulating quite a few FREE ENTRIES - which will be raffled off at the meeting - YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN.
At the current time I have 25 confirmed FREE ENTRIES - there will be other items in the raffle -
If you would like to donate anything for the raffle, bring it to the meeting and we will give you 6 tickets. Tickets will sale for $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.
Hope to see a lot of you there.
VFW will be serving hamburgers at lunch for a nominal fee and the bar will be open.

I am a SPC (E-4) with the TX Army National Guard, and one of the tasks handed down to me today was to create a spread sheet with all the info from all the VFW's that I can locate, inside TX. I am having difficulty tracking down the information for post 8787 online, as the two listed homepages appear to be non-functional. I would be very appreciative if somebody could e-mail me the following information on VFW post 8787. Post Address, Zip Code, Phone #, E-mail, and if there is a functional one, the Website.
