I just read over the information from the D'Iberville, MS cookoff at the end of February. The entry form and info sheet say you get a 10 x 10 space for $100. If you want additional spaces you can pay another $100 for each 10 x 10 space you need. That's gonna keep a lot of professionals from coming. I can't fit in one space and I sure don't wanna pay an extra $100. I know 2 teams off the top of my head that'll need at least 3 spaces.

Barry - that is being addressed - they had those rules written up and posted before I looked at them - we are in the process of getting that changed.

Excellent! So who all here is coming?
I know it's still a bit early, but the weather forecast at this point looks pretty good - highs in the upper 50s, lows around 40. D'Iberville is located on I-10 - at exit 46. That's the I-110 exit, that leads to Biloxi, a couple miles away, on the Gulf coast. Beau Rivage casino there is pretty nice; there's a few other casinos on the bay in Biloxi as well, like the Hard Rock.
I think we're all ready to start the 2010 BBQ season off! Come help us start the season right!

Just got off the phone with Mike Mullins in D'Iberville - 23 teams at this point, and the weather forecast is still for sunny skies!

A great kickoff to the 2010 season! 28 IBCA teams (21 backyard) - a wonderful way to welcome MS to IBCA!
There was a little rain late Friday and early Saturday, but that didn't dampen anyone's spirits - the weather cleared for everyone to have a really good time!
Be sure to mark your calendar for this one next year!

We appreciated all of your help... with Shawn and Mike too... In addition to the 28 IBCA contest teams, we also had 21 backyard teams. It was a good contest all around!
